Mission Bridge - 4th Street

On July 18 at 7:00 p.m., the Mission Bridge will close to all motor vehicle traffic for the weekend so that our team can move the work area. The bridge will reopen to cars at 5:00 a.m. on the morning of July 21. Pedestrians and cyclists will be able to cross the bridge during the full closure. 

After the weekend closure, the ongoing off-peak single lane closures along eastbound Elbow Drive S.W. will continue. We ask that pedestrians and cyclists use the north side of Elbow Drive between 4 and 5 Streets S.W., and the south side of 26 Avenue between 2 and 3 Streets S.W. (please refer to the map ). 

With the bridge reopening on July 21, the access stairway to Elbow Island Parks from Mission Bridge will be closed until further notice.

The City remains on track for substantial completion of the bridge by the end of 2025.
