Councillor, Ward 11 Jeromy Farkas

Dear Friends,

I hope you’ve been successful in keeping to your New Year’s resolutions! This February, I hope you are all staying warm and navigating the winter weather safely. I wish you all a happy and restful Family Day.

I am still committed to pushing hard for accountability, transparency, and fiscal responsibility at City Hall. I genuinely believe that in these tough economic times, City Council needs to work harder to find efficiencies and save money.

As we near the end of winter and monitor the snowpack, I want you to know that the City will continue strongly advocating for effective flood mitigation. We are over five years past the flood of 2013 and we still don’t have meaningful flood mitigation on the Elbow River. This is unacceptable, and it’s time that all levels of government stepped up to address is important issue.

Finally, please join our team at the next monthly Town Hall taking place on Thursday, February 21, 2019 from 7:00 to 8:30pm at the Acadia Recreation Centre (240 90 Avenue SE).

As always, please reach out to us with any questions or concerns you have. I welcome all kinds of feedback and I enjoy hearing your messages. You can contact me by emailing or calling the number above.

Respectfully yours,

Jeromy

(Ward 11 Councillor and Palliser resident)
