From the moderator: It is already unusual to have a trombone in the CBM jazz series. It is even more unusual to have not one but three trombones performing together. Inspired by the great trombone ensembles of the last 50 years, the Bone Matrix band was formed three years ago and will regroup December 4th for a night of trombone magic at Cliff Bungalow!
The idea behind this group is to take advantage of the multi-dimensional aspects of the trombone: a wide palette of sounds, extended range, and a serious diversity of styles. Don’t miss a chance to see three trombone voices working together with a deeply talented rhythm section to create music that can be as beautiful and lush as it can be spontaneous and wild. Hope to see you there for the last concert of 2013.
