Should the City Re-zone Properties to Allow More Tall Buildings in Mission?
A landowner has applied to the City of Calgary for permission to develop a building in Mission that exceeds the current 5-storey height limit. The Cliff Bungalow-Mission Community Association (CBMCA) is opposed to this type of “spot upzoning” when it is in conflict with a comprehensive community-wide plan (the Mission Area Redevelopment Plan).
The CBMCA strives to represent the views and values of community residents, and so we’d like to check in with you about this matter. Your response to the questions will inform our position when this application goes before a public hearing of City Council this fall.
